LONDON, UK – SEPTEMBER 25, 2025 – Yondr Group, a leading global developer, owner and operator of hyperscale data centers, hosted an international delegation at its London campus in Slough, playing a key role in developing knowledge of the digital infrastructure industry.
Organised by the British Embassy Brussels, the British Embassy The Hague, the Belgian Digital Infrastructure Association, and the Dutch Data Center Association, the international delegation visited Yondr’s facility as part of a three-day itinerary to discover more about the UK’s data center sector. With London now established as Europe’s leading tier-1 market for data center capacity, Yondr’s 100MW campus, the largest in Slough, was a natural choice for the visit, as the area has become the UK’s most substantial data center ecosystem.
The delegation included a variety of companies from the Benelux region in sectors related to data center development and operation, along with UK and international government departments, trade associations, investment agencies and embassies. It enabled delegates to explore the UK data center landscape, where rapid growth is expected to deliver IT capacity of 4.75GW by 2030 and a market value of £13 billion by 2032.
In addition to touring the Yondr facility, delegates also attended the DCD Connect London event and visited Slough Borough Council’s offices to learn more about Slough’s Simplified Planning Zone, which has enabled data center and research facilities to be built without needing separate planning permission.
The exclusive tour of Yondr’s facility allowed delegates to experience hyperscale data center development in the UK first-hand, where they heard from key project leaders Ross McConnell, VP Energy & Sustainability, Mark Ryan, Development Director, and Steve Budge, Infrastructure & Integration Director, EMEA. The campus also houses two other data centers: one being fully operational and the other planned to go live in mid-2026.
Lucas Sørensen, Senior Investment Advisor, from the British Embassy The Hague commented: “On behalf of the members of our trade mission, I would like to thank Yondr for hosting us at their impressive data center in Slough. The visit was extremely valuable in offering us insight into the UK’s world-class digital infrastructure and innovation.”
Phil Hallett, Site Operations Manager for Yondr’s London campus, who personally hosted the delegation said: “We are delighted to have welcomed this delegation and play such a central role in showcasing the dynamic hyperscale data center industry in the UK with a tour of our facility in Slough.
“As demand for data center capacity grows globally, it’s important to use initiatives like this to share best practice and market insights so that we can maximise investment opportunities, drive sustainability and deliver the assets that will continue to support businesses, communities and individuals.”
