SINGAPORE, – October 14, 2021 Yondr Group, a global leader, developer, owner operator and service provider of data center solutions, today announced the appointment of Luque Lim as Capital Projects Director for the APAC region and Patrick McCreery, Regional Vice President, Global Client Solutions. In their new roles, Lim will be responsible for the buildout of Yondr’s data center construction portfolio in the APAC region and Patrick will oversee customer growth and customer success across the region.
Lim has extensive experience in the property and construction industry, particularly in site selection, project, programme and supply chain management. Prior to joining Yondr, she was the Data Center Service Manager at Google, where she led all construction execution in Singapore. Lim additionally worked as a programme management consultant for various clients, providing programme, procurement and stakeholder management services.
“This is an exciting opportunity to support the rapid expansion for Yondr in this ever growing APAC region,” said Luque Lim, Capital Projects Director, APAC, Yondr Group. “Our recent JV partnership in India is a clear example of the opportunities that lie ahead for us in APAC and I’m thrilled to be part of the team leading the build out of state-of-the-art digital infrastructures across the region.”
Yondr recently announced a milestone joint venture partnership with Everstone Group, a leading private investment firm across private equity, real estate, green infrastructure, credit and venture capital. The joint venture, with an initial capitalisation of USD1 billion, will support hyperscale clients and service the rapidly growing Indian market.
The first facility, under the joint venture partnership, will be located in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, for which land and power have already been acquired and will deliver 30MW by 2023 and 60MW of IT capacity when fully developed. Everstone’s real estate arm, Indospace, is India’s largest industrial real estate developer in India with over 47 million square feet under development.
The most recent hire, Patrick McCreery, has over 20 years of experience in IT, data centers, cloud computing and telecommunications, with particular expertise in hyperscale solutions, strategic business development and pricing strategy. Prior to joining Yondr, McCreery was the Global Head of Commercial at Keppel Data Centers in Singapore, where he was responsible for the P&L, market development and market entry initiatives for Keppel in Southeast Asia.
“Asia Pacific is the largest region by population and fastest growing region for data center expansion supporting cloud services, social and digital media, IOT and other digital investments,” said Patrick McCreery, Regional Vice President, Global Client Solutions, Yondr Group. “I look forward to working with our clients to scale their digital presence in each key growth market, and align the Yondr business to ensure their success.”
“Yondr is on an upward trajectory globally. Our investment in India and strategic partnership with Everstone Group is part of our growing commitment to the APAC region,” said Johnson Tan, Managing Director, APAC, Yondr Group. “The addition of Luque and Patrick adds a diverse set of skills to our team. They will be critical to the execution of our Mumbai data center and subsequent facilities in the region, as well as grow our overall business presence.”
Yondr’s vertical integration sets it apart as one of the few companies able to deliver digital assets to clients at a hyperscale level, with certainty in delivery and at scale.
In addition to welcoming its new members, the Yondr team in Singapore has also recently moved into a newly designed office at 79 Robinson Road in Singapore’s central business district. The Singapore office is Yondr’s headquarters for the APAC region.
