Yondr Group, a leading developer, owner and operator of hyperscale data centers, has achieved its first RFS (ready for service) milestone for the third data center on the company’s 100MW London campus in Slough.
The achievement comes just 15 months after Yondr celebrated groundbreaking for the 40MW asset in early 2025, and only a year after announcing RFS on its 30MW data center on the same campus last April. It continues Yondr’s sustained growth in delivering capacity across Europe and North America, and confirms Yondr as a leading player in the UK data center market, with the London campus being the largest in Slough.
Designed to BREEAM ‘Very Good’ standards, the data center has been specified to prioritise sustainability, alongside capacity and reliability. Yondr carried out a community needs assessment as part of the development process, in line with the company’s sustainability strategy, which identified an opportunity to support outdoor learning for young children by working with local schools and the Iver Environment Centre. This community focus also extends to education and skills development, with Yondr’s recent scholarship launch in the Slough area, providing £27,000 for a local student to attend university to study a digital infrastructure-aligned STEM course.
The new data center features a green wall, providing both visual and acoustic shielding for the canal side perimeter of Yondr’s London campus. Landscaping has been designed to enhance biodiversity, with several features already installed, including insect hotels and native, pollinator‑focused planting. Solar panels and industry-leading power utilisation efficiency (PUE) have also formed part of the sustainability strategy for the project.
Christopher Bennett, Project Director, commented: “Our London campus holds significant strategic importance for Yondr and plays a vital role in supporting our growth objectives in Europe. We are proud to reach this important milestone for our third data center on this campus, which has been delivered in line with our sustainability strategy and 2030 target for Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions. This achievement would not have been possible without the strong collaboration and commitment of our valued vendors and partners.”
John Madden, Chief Data Center Officer, added: “Our 100MW London campus is part of our increasingly strong presence in Europe and, as we continue to build on capabilities in both Europe and North America, it demonstrates our ability to raise the bar in terms of both efficient project delivery and sustainability.”
